  • (1888PressRelease) July 15, 2011 - The best and brightest college students who set their sights on a career in advertising are spending their summer vacations at Doremus.

Named consistently as BtoB magazine's "top agency," Doremus has a solid track record for hiring many of its past summer interns upon graduation into full-time jobs.

This year's class started their eight-week training on June 13th with a roof party atop the Doremus building at 200 Varick Street.

About the Doremus Summer Internship Program
The program offers a hands-on approach, liberally mixed with plenty of fun and creative opportunities. Students contribute their talents to the agency's strategic, creative and media initiatives for clients, and also get a chance to work on a pitch that they present to the agency's leadership team at the end of their internship. By the end of the eight-week program, students have a firm idea of what life is like, day in and day out, at an agency.

Allison Womack, Managing Director of Doremus New York said, "Every year I am blown away by the talented young people who intern at Doremus. They not only bring their energy and enthusiasm, they also bring an appreciation for communications and a desire to do great work for our clients. We benefit as much from having them here as they benefit from us."

The current class hails from colleges across the country:

Oleg Dubno, Brooklyn College, social media.

Jarryd Goodman, University of Arizona, new business.

Amy Orgel, Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, production studio.

Sam Chapman, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, account management.

Michael Orme, University of Denver, account management.

Jessica Buchanan, Temple University, creative services.
