  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) April 11, 2015 - Step into writer Conan Doyle's Victorian London and discover some of the techniques used by Sherlock Holmes to solve murder mysteries as The International Exhibit of Sherlock Holmes stops in Dallas at the Perot Museum. Setting the scene as you enter the lobby, an ornate 3-dimensional enclosure surrounds a car from Sherlock Holmes' era and takes visitors back in time, like you are entering an elaborate courtyard.

Mecca Design and Production, a boutique scenic element and services design/build group, crafted this custom enclosure, designed by the Perot's own Mike Spiewak, evoking Victorian London and the mystery surrounding Sherlock Holmes. Using the CNC router to create the intricate details in the wood enclosure, Mecca's team scenically painted it to look like the wrought iron of the Victorian age in England. Get ready for a hands-on experience and explore how Holmes used science to solve mysteries. The exhibit is now open for a limited engagement through May 10, 2015 and located at the Perot Museum, 2201 N. Field St., Dallas, Texas 75201. Make sure and reserve tickets now to become a detective.

According to Mecca Design and Production's Kenneth Mecca, "We love making things for the Perot Museum, and creating this ornate enclosure gave us the chance to provide an intricately detailed display to invite visitors to explore the world of Sherlock Holmes."
