David Alan Grier Publishes New Essay Collection with IEEE Computer Society Press
Frequent IEEE Computer Society contributor David Alan Grier has published a new essay collection that explores the effect of technology on Millennials and other types of computer users.

Grier is associate professor of International Science and Technology Policy at George Washington University and the author of When Computers Were Human and Too Soon to Tell.
His latest book, an outgrowth of columns he wrote for Computer magazine, examines how digital technology affects communities, connecting individuals more closely to the centers of political, economic, social, and cultural power.
"With The Company We Keep, I am looking at the generation of my students and trying to understand their world," Grier said.
