  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) July 04, 2013 - Over 75 actors and crew members committed to join writer/director Paul Csige in the making of "Once is Enough," a new independent feature film about finding one's way in modern America, and most deferred payment believing in its future success. The feel-good film continues to gain steam with Indiegogo.com, a global crowd-sourcing site that helps small projects raise funds. And this is a family affair; the movie began with the partnership between Csige and his Uncle and Godfather George Mecca, an owner at Mecca Studios in Dallas, Texas. As producer, Mecca wanted to provide set design, special effects, recording studio, and props, most of which was already available in his huge warehouse filled with scenic elements and sets. As a Micro Budget Independent Film, it was shot for under $10,000. The team set and met their goal of completing production in less than five weeks; they shot the entire film in Dallas at Mecca Studios, a few other Dallas locations, and even the hot sands of West Texas in 28 days. The indiegogo online campaign ends July 14, 2013.

People looking to contribute and be a bigger part of the movie post production can go to once-is-enough under projects on the indiegogo site. Perks are available to those who decide how much is enough to donate to the movie in $10, $25, $50, $100, $20, $500, $1,000, and $5,000 increments. For instance, if $50 is enough, the contributor gets thanked on the movie's Facebook page, a digital download of the movie later in 2013, a "Once is Enough" poster, and his or her name in the movie credits. When someone chooses the $5,000 contribution level as enough, he or she gets to be "a wicked cool producer" and more.

"Once is Enough" is a comedy/fantasy feature film about John, a recently divorced man who is unhappy with his life. The film follows John, played by multiple actors during the film, as he is given the lives he always thought he wanted. When John breaks down in front of a warehouse while out on a beer run, he finds Bob, an out-of-work wizard played by Francis (Hank) Henry, giving him a chance to live these sought-after lives. In addition to finding talented actors to drive the story, this Dallas-based family venture involves 4 generations and 15 family members.

With two weeks left for fundraising on the indiegogo site, Csige hopes the momentum will keep going to raise the $15,000 needed for post-production (music, editing software, equipment rental, film festivals, marketing), and pay the actors. So far over 50 people have donated both to the site and privately to total $8,000 including a check for $5,000 from Coleman Henry of Mt. Laurel, NJ - brother of Hank Henry who plays Bob Masters, The Wizard. The movie has a projected release date of September, 2013 with the help of successful funding. Paul Csige, a filmmaker, writer and surfer who holds degrees from Berklee College of Music and The New York Film Academy, has worked in both television and film industries for many years. He was the director of the feature film "Voyagers: The First Hawaiians," which aired on PBS in 2010. He was commissioned by the Kamuela Philharmonic to compose a full orchestral overture and successfully adapted the book "Voyage: The Discover of Hawaii" by renowned historian and artist Herb Kawainui Kane into an award-winning feature film. Additionally, Csige has edited commercials and trailers and has been the director of photography for a music video and an independent film.

Paul is excited to share this story, commenting, "Even though the casting networks in Dallas aren't nearly as convenient as Los Angeles, the calibre of actors I found rivals anything I could have found in Hollywood."
