Starting prices now range from $14,370, for the 2013 Yaris L 3-door, up to $17,280, for a 2013 Yaris SE with an automatic transmission. These modest price increases keep the Yaris in direct competition with the sub-compact market while allowing for more standard equipment.
The most noticeable increases in price are on the Yaris L and LE trims. However, these trims also see the most improvement in standard equipment. For 2013, the Toyota Yaris L 3- and 5-door models have seen a $255 increase in sticker price. As a result, the L trim now comes with the Tech Audio package as standard equipment. Sure to please drivers who opt for the base model, this package includes many convenience items that make driving more enjoyable. Included are a six-speaker audio system, AM/FM CD player with MP3/WMA playback and MP3 sound enhancement, auto sound leveling, SiriusXM Satellite Radio compatibility, HD Radio, auxiliary and USB inputs with iPod connectivity, and a Bluetooth system with streaming capabilities. The Tech Package is no doubt a tempting buy for drivers who enjoy music and wireless connectivity capabilities and proved a popular choice among drivers in previous years.
The LE trim for 2013 now starts at $15,955 for a 3-door and $16,430 for a 5-door liftback. Cruise control is now offered as a standard feature for the LE. Formerly a $250 optional add-on, cruise control and all the features of the old Tech Package make the Yaris LE a great deal. The Yaris SE has seen the smallest price increase at $80 more than last year. Offering the most standard equipment and a 5-door liftback body style, the SE has the sportiest appearance with alloy wheels and aggressive looking body kit upgrades.
