Dale, Assistant Principal at Livingston Academy, has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Patricia A. Dale's commitment to excellence in Education.

    Patricia A. Dale has dedicated her professional life to educating young minds. Beginning in 1988, she taught the first grade in Clay County, Tennessee at Celina K-8 School. She has since taught 5-8th grade science for fourteen years and high school chemistry for two years before working for the Overton County School System where she teaches today.

    As assistant principal, Patricia Dale oversees a number of different areas within the school, including after school, the course syllabi and curriculum, department meetings and minutes, new teacher orientation, the school improvement plan, student data analysis, discipline, the handbook, just to name a few. She has also been coaching the school's golf team for the past fourteen years for their high school and for Overton County Junior High School.

    "I got into teaching because I wanted to be able to help students realize their true potential and learn to have fun while learning and working," Patricia Dale said. "I love my job and my school. I hope to continually help improve curriculum and academics and hope to also teach college level classes in the future."

    Patricia Dale earned her BA in Elementary Education, her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction, and her Doctorate in Instructional Leadership, all from Tennessee Technological University. She is currently pursuing her EdD in Educational Administration K-12 and will be graduating in May of 2013.

    She was a classroom teacher for twenty-three years before getting into academic administration. She's also served as science fair coordinator for Allons Elementary School from 1993-2005 and for Rickman Elementary School from 2005-08, and was the recipient of a Teacher of the Year Award from Clay County, Tennessee in 1991.
