The selection recognizes Marcia L. Tibbs's commitment to excellence in Healthcare.
Tibbs, a certified restored nursing assistant, is currently pursuing her nursing license through Kansas City Community College. Having spent time in nursing through Job Corps since 2009, she has experience in CPR and first aid training.
In her current role, Tibbs answers phone calls, helps patients with everyday tasks like showering and getting them dressed for their appointments. She also feeds patients, administers medications and insulin injections, helps with housecleaning, cooks meals, and charts what she's completed throughout each shift.
Hoping to become a pediatric nurse in the future, Tibbs continues to work hard to maintain good grades, keep focused and positive, saying, "The nurses and staff at Job Corps have supported me and are confident that I will make a great nurse. I am focused and very passionate about becoming a nurse."
Tibbs is a member of Chosen by Grace Praise by Grace Church Group. When she isn't busy working she enjoys dancing, reading, and computers.
