    Middle School Teacher Dr.Angela Williams released her first book in 2015, entitled 'Free! Not Locked Up Anymore', a 108-page non-fiction piece that was inspired by American Author Maya Angelou. Knowing how to articulate feelings that many struggle to share, Dr. Williams' poetry pieces are very matter-of-fact, funny, and heartfelt and concern how we view what happens in everyday life. Published through Godly Writes Publishing, Dr. Williams is very excited about the release.

    "I was inspired by my mother, the late Mrs. Lille Bonaparte Reed, to write poetry of my everyday situations as a means of freeing myself from struggles and the everyday cares of life itself. I now enjoy being happy every day," Dr. Williams said.

    Dr. Williams obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at Benedict College, an MAT in Elementary Education, an MEd in Educational Administration at Columbia International University, and an EdS in Leadership with a Minor in Curriculum and Instruction at Cambridge University. She is an aspiring certified school administrator, is certified in gifted and talented education, and is highly qualified in math education. She is presently pursing a doctoral degree at South Carolina State University in her hometown of Orangeburg, South Carolina. She is also a qualified minister and the founder and pastor of Rejoice Christian Center in Columbia, South Carolina. A member of South Carolina Association of Black School Educators and South Carolina Education Association, she was a nominee for the Golden Apple Award in 1998-99, was named Teacher of the Year in 2001-02 and 2007-08, and was named to Who's Who in Black Education in 2008. She is currently in the process of writing her second book.
