"After retirement from General Motors my wife and I moved to Texarkana. We noticed that there wasn't a venue for all the talent in the area to display and sell their creations. We wanted to help the community we were now part of by promoting the arts and culture, aiding in economic growth, and providing well deserved recognition to the area," Mr. Marlatt said, who co-owns the gallery with his wife.
Located at 333 East 9th Street in Texarkana, Arkansas, between Ash Street and Beech Street, Artisans Gallery and Gifts is open 9am to 9pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
