Covington Who's Who Selects Bruce Lavern Gray as an Executive of the Year Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

Bruce Lavern Gray, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, began working in the investment industry as a hobby in 1980 while working full-time as a project engineer in Washington, DC.
Now serving as a financial problem solver for Met Life since 2004, Mr. Gray meets with clients to identify their financial goals by collecting their personal information to determine what their current financial situations are. He analyzes their information and prepares a recommendation for their short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals before implementing a solution. He provides periodic reviews as well to measure success and make any necessary adjustments. Most importantly, he holds each of his clients accountable in helping themselves accomplish the goals they set out to make by checking in on them several times each calendar year.
"I got into this industry after deciding to start saving for my own financial goals," Mr. Gray said. "But after a bad experience investing and not being informed of all my options, like mutual funds, cash value life insurance, and individual stocks, I wondered if all investment advisors were the same. It needed to be fixed."
Mr. Gray will have his Chartered Financial Consultant license in 2015. He hopes to continue solving financial concerns one client at a time and anticipates working until 2065. He has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table three times, has qualified for several Leaders Conferences, and was named Top Financial Advisor in the Houston Region for 2012 and 2013.
