  • (1888PressRelease) April 06, 2012 - Corporal Sean Francis, owner of Soldiers of Fitness Boot Camp, isn't your ordinary personal trainer or boot camp owner. His background is quite extensive, which allows him to provide SOF (Soldiers of Fitness) boot camp members a unique and top notch exercise program.

Corporal Francis isn't just a certified strength and conditioning specialist, he's a Kinesiologist, and a Doctor of Chiropractic. But wait, there's more. He has been an active member of the Canadian Forces Reserve since 1998. Some have asked Corporal Francis, "Why boot camp training when you have this distinguished background?"

This is the Corporal's response. "Every summer until last year I have trained and conditioned soldiers of the Canadian Forces and I really enjoyed doing it. But I wanted to take my personal training to the next level. Of course I could go straight into the Chiropractic business, but I like being outdoors and fitness and wanted to help people change their lives in a different way."

In 2008 Corporal Francis became a manager of two different Soldiers of Fitness facilities. In 2010 he decided to open his own Soldiers of Fitness boot camp in Lindsay and use his educational knowledge, military background, and fitness experience to design and implement one of the best workout programs around.

"SOF boot camp in Lindsay started with 7 members in 2010 and last summer grew to 200, which also led to the opening of our Peterborough location in summer of 2011. We currently have 250 total members. Those numbers say something," says the Corporal.

Sean says, "I am very thankful for this award and the new vehicle. In Lindsay there isn't a local Land Rover dealership so I opted to support the local economy and chose a Ford Flex. It's an awesome vehicle that will represent everyone involved with Soldiers of Fitness boot camp. I actually had the option of a monthly allowance instead but decided against it because I did not earn the Flex on my own. I earned it because of the great members of SOF boot camp and driving this vehicle will be a reminder of that. I want everyone to know this vehicle represents all their hard work and dedication, not just mine."
