  • (1888PressRelease) September 14, 2011 - Bryant & Stratton College Online announced today that it will be hosting a free career education webinar for current Bryant & Stratton College Online students, prospective students and anyone else interested in learning how to manage career advancements, transitions and changes. The free webinar, titled "Getting from Here to There," will take place on Thursday, September 22, from noon to 1:00 p.m. EDT.

    Acclaimed career coach Kim Dority will lead the webinar. Ms. Dority is a frequent presenter for Bryant & Stratton College Online and has been writing about and teaching courses on career development for more than a decade.

    "In today's competitive job market, individuals need to have a focused strategy when it comes to making career changes," said Dority. "This involves building a foundation of information, connections and resources to develop and execute a smart, realistic plan. Whether the goal is to earn a promotion, transition to a new role or company or switch careers entirely, this webinar will provide practical tips to attendees on how to best position themselves for success."

    The "Getting from Here to There" webinar will provide advice and tips on how to create and execute an effective career plan, including information on strategic planning, targeted goal setting and identifying valuable contacts and resources. The webinar will enable attendees to:

    • Clarify the type of career change they want to make and why
    • Identify what actions and information are needed to accomplish this change
    • Put together a realistic action plan for achieving this career change goal
