The two-day event, which will be held in Manila in the Philippines, sees PISM expand its annual event to a regional conference and exhibit, for the first time. Metcalfe's workshop, 'Integrated Business Planning - the New and Improved Sales & Operations Planning', will run on the second day and is designed to provide a valuable insight into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and the rewards it can offer.

"Transitioning from traditional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to Integrated Business Planning allows companies to integrate diverse processes, including product portfolio management and financial planning, into one seamless management process," says Metcalfe, who has over 28 years experience helping blue chip organisations across the world improve their planning and management processes. "As a result, companies will see a huge impact on their ability to serve customers effectively and profitably and ultimately gain that all important competitive advantage," he says.

The theme of SupplyLink 2012 is 'Tomorrow's supply chain is a value driven Global Economy' and will gather together thought-leaders in purchasing and supply chain management from across the globe. Attendees will be able to exchange experiences, attend exhibits, plenary and technical workshops, and learn about the future of supply chain optimization.

Oliver Wight has a 40 year track record of delivering business improvement to some of the world's best known organisations. Integrated Business Planning, at the leading-edge of management thinking and practice, is a fundamental business improvement process for tomorrow's value-driven economy.
