  • (1888PressRelease) July 26, 2012 - WESTBOROUGH, MA - C2C, a leading provider of email, file and messaging management solutions, announced that it has reduced the Community College System of New Hampshire's (CCSNH) Exchange Information Store by more than 50 percent. With C2C's ArchiveOne, CCSNH saw immediate results in the control they had with their email data, along with a decrease in the backup and restore times of its Exchange Information Store and an increase in the reliability of data being protected without chance of loss.

The Community College System of New Hampshire is structured with two-year colleges that offer associate degrees, professional training and coursework that are eligible to be transferred to four-year colleges. With seven locations throughout New Hampshire, the System Office services 3,000 employees and 27,000 students.

The CCSNH realized they were in need of an archiving solution due to the increasing size of their Exchange Information Store, which was a direct result of an excessive buildup of email attachments. Rick Grass, the College System's IT Manager in charge of Microsoft Exchange, started looking for a service to assist in email management. Grass decided on ArchiveOne.

"We selected C2C's ArchiveOne because of its tight integration with Outlook," said Grass. "It provides a seamless end user experience as archived data is restored automatically when the end user opens a message."

Many of the staff and students save all of their email messages, which is typical in an educational setting. This caused large personal PST files that would often become corrupt over time. With the assistance of ArchiveOne, they can now keep 12 months of email and six months of attachments in the Exchange Information Store. Anything older than that is archived without risk of deletion. After a message is archived in ArchiveOne, the email is replaced with a "stub" in the email's original space. End users are able to click on the stub and the content is immediately pulled from the archive.

"C2C's ArchiveOne is ideal for any organization looking to efficiently utilize its storage resources while efficiently protecting email data," said Dave Hunt, CEO, C2C. "It assures that valued email data is safely stored and can be searchable at any time."

For CCSNH, ArchiveOne manages email that is in its live email system, in its email archive or in a PST file on a user desktop or laptop. CCSNH intends to upgrade to ArchiveOne's latest version in order to obtain additional licenses. This will allow for the seamless protection of email data for all of the college's staff and students.

A live online demonstration, references from ArchiveOne users, and a 30-day trial are available at: http://us.c2c.com/resources.
