Comguard acquires Converged Solutions, a Bangalore based IT Distribution Company
Comguard India announced its first acquisition in India. The company took over Converged Sol. and with this made its foray into voice & data field.
- (1888PressRelease) March 29, 2013 - Delhi, - Comguard, India, a part of Spectrum Group of Companies, Dubai, and a leading value added distributor of global networking and security products today announced the acquisition of Converged Solutions; a Bangalore based IT Distribution Company. With this acquisition Comguard, India forays into voice and data vertical apart from existing portfolio of networking and security products.
This is Comguard's first ever acquisition in India since its inception of India operation in 2009. Converged Solutions' existing offices and distribution alliances and workforce have been merged with Comguard India. So far, Comguard has retained half the employees of Converged Solutions. Comguard shall be benefited by entering into a new vertical, i.e., voice & data, thus expanding its distribution area and presence in India.
Speaking on the acquisition, Mr. Ajay Singh Chauhan, CEO, Spectrum Group said, "Converged Solution has a rich heritage, a passionate customer base and a wide product line, all of which have fueled our decision to acquire the company. The entire portfolio of Converged Solution has been merged with Comguard and shall evolve to enrich user experiences and voice & data functionality."
Areen Naidoo, CEO, Converged Solution and now the AVP, Distribution and Alliances at Comguard, India said, "Having two decades of experience as a VAD, the Comguard acquisition will provide a chance for us to meet bigger challenges, with larger OEM,s and create value for the ecosystem of our partners."
Apart from security and voice & data vertical, Comguard India intends to further stretch its arm to storage and cloud vertical. With a number of 12 distribution alliances at present, Comguard India aims at 20 new alliances by the end of 2013.
