"The theme of the fair is all about using the new year to start a 'new you,' which can be making a commitment to personal health or taking the first step to making your career dreams come true. We know many people are using their New Year's resolutions to get in shape, finally earn their GED or college degree, or change their career, and we want to support that," says Eric Juhlin, Chief Executive Officer of the institutions. "The booths, activities, and screenings will help people learn more about their own personal health and provide touch points in creating a healthier lifestyle, but our hope is that the event will also provide a unique insight into different healthcare professions. There is great demand for bright, enthusiastic professionals in this high-growth industry and we can provide those interested with the skills and education they need to be successful."

Eleven fairs are taking place simultaneously at affiliated campuses and satellite campuses in Arizona (Flagstaff), California (San Diego), Colorado (Denver, Fort Collins), Idaho (Boise), Utah (Layton, Logan, Ogden/West Haven, Provo/Orem, Salt Lake City/Murray), and Wyoming (Cheyenne).

The health fairs will feature informational booths, activities, and a variety of complimentary health screenings that may include some of the following:
    • Cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and vitals readings
    • Student demonstrations
    • Smoking cessation information
    • Blood drives with local community partners
    • Vision and hearing screenings

The event is also an opportunity for people interested in healthcare careers to learn more about the industry and what it takes to earn a healthcare degree. Workshops will be held throughout the day, like the Career Day workshop, "Is a healthcare career for you?" which will explain different issues in the healthcare industry. Interested people will be able to talk to students and staff members, watch demos, and sign up to shadow alumni during the day of the fair. Additionally, "How to get your GED®" sessions will be offered.

At many of the events, attendees will be able to enter a drawing to win a Wii Fit or gym membership as a way to encourage their healthy living habits.
