Classic Artists Today to launch Podcast of Interviews from Classic Musicians

  • (1888PressRelease) September 26, 2013 - Classic Artists Today, LLC announced that they will launch a Podcast series of their popular interviews of classic rock, pop, soul, blues and smooth jazz,musicians, on September 23, 2013. These are interviews of musicians who have played significant roles as solo performers, or in bands, that have left their mark on history. The "Sittin' In with The CATŠ" interviews will include numerous artists who are in various Hall of Fames.

    "Since launching our Classic Artists TodayŠ, nationally syndicated radio show, nearly 8 years ago, we've interviewed nearly 200 musicians," states Ray White, Managing Director of Classic Artists Today, LLC. "Our interview series features musicians talking about their recent releases and looks back to key events in their careers," White added. They include numerous musicians in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and dozens of others that are multi-Grammy award winners.

    During the initial launch of the "Sittin' In With The CATŠ" podcast, 10 episodes will be unveiled. They include interviews with: Al Jardine and Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys), Chris Squire (Yes), Geoff Downes (Asia/Yes), Brad Gillis (Night Ranger), Cyril Neville (Neville Brothers/Royal Southern Brotherhood), Chris Barron (Spin Doctors), David Lowery (Cracker/Camper Van Beethoven), Gloria Gaynor, Pat DiNizio (Smithereens) and Vonda Shepard. Plans for the rest of 2013 and beyond call for the release of several new interviews throughout every month.

    The interviews were launched in 2007 as part of Classic Artists Today's "Featured Artist of the Week," segments, as a component of Classic Artist Today's weekly syndicated radio show. Starting with the launch of their Coool CATŠ , weekly syndicated radio show in 2009, Soul, R&B, Blues and Smooth Jazz musicians were interviewed. Interviews were conducted by internationally known radio personality Ray White, who also serves as CEO of the company.
