  • West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2014 - Join the entire community at the City of West Palm Beach Veterans Day Parade & Community Celebration on Sunday, November 9 in downtown West Palm Beach as we honor our veterans and celebrate the freedom that we are afforded because of their service!

    The Veterans Day Parade, produced each year by the Palm Beach County Veterans Committee begins at 2 p.m. and travels from west to east on Clematis ending at the Community Celebration on Flagler Drive. Expect veteran's organizations and individuals, marching bands, JROTCs, Cub Scouts, car and motorcycle clubs, cheerleaders and more. The parade is geared towards the community and will be a true tribute to the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country!

    The Community Celebration will be held from 12 noon - 5 p.m. on the City Commons lawn overlooking the scenic intracoastal. Fun activities are planned for the whole family and they can expect great music, food and vendors providing information on services as well as items for sale. Attendees are encourage to bring a blanket or chairs and join in the community picnic atmosphere before and after the parade!

    This year's event will focus on Veterans and families and will feature live entertainment on the main stage all day. The schedule includes the following entertainment:
    • Trish McKibbin of Fire & Ice Productions has been supporting the community for many years and her music entertainment company provides DJs, live entertainment and karaoke for events throughout South Florida.
    • Lisa Dellarossa is a Coast Guard Veteran and is a returning performer at this year's Veterans Day event. She enjoys keeping the music of years ago alive by performing standards, oldies, Broadway, country, and adult contemporary. Lisa prides herself on evoking in the listener the emotions she feels when she performs.
    • Marty Hollander Entertainment will bring the smooth romantic sounds of the greatest artists of all time to the stage. Marty has been performing since he was 17 and is a singer, song writer and musician. He has been entertaining audiences in country clubs, cocktail lounges, condo communities, retirement villages, private parties, corporate and special affairs all over the east and west coast. In a special tribute to Veterans in attendance, Marty will be performing his 2011 nationally known song "We Are America".
    • Gospel Dream Winner Tony LeBron is known as heartfelt, genuine and passionate. He understands his true calling in life - to be an inspiration through music with excellence and passion. With his most recent release, Corre Corazon, hitting #1 on the ReverbNation Latin Charts in Miami Tony LeBron is one to take notice of.
    • Off the Record is a high energy hybrid type of band that plays a wide variety of popular music: classic rock, modern rock, lil' bit o' country, R & B and blues covering all genres of music for all musical tastes. Local favorites and fervent supporters of Veterans, Off the Record will certainly put on a great show in their honor.

    Attendees can also expect activities just for the kids; business, non-profit and veterans' booths with information as well as products and services for sale. A sampling of those in attendance include: B Sweet Bath Company, Battle of the Bulge Veterans - Military Order Purple Heart, Comprehensive Health Management Wellcare, Florida Public Utilities, Healing Horse Therapy Center, IT Works Global, Nerium Skin Care, Palm Beach County Veterans Committee/Friends of Veterans, Inc., Palm Beach County Vets Center, Palm Beach Kennel Club, Potions in Motion, South Florida National Cemetery, Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream, and the West Palm Beach Library Foundation.

    Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking available at City of West Palm Beach garages. This annual event will raise funds for the Friends of Veterans, Inc. a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the local community throughout the year.
