"I am humbled by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2011 National Leadership Award," said Ryan. "It is my absolute honor and privilege to serve this organization and its admirable mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families."

Established in 1985, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (www.lls.org) National Leadership Award was created to honor past and present members of LLS's National Board of Trustees, who have significantly served as national leaders of the organization. The award also recognizes individuals that have provided leadership to advance the overall mission and stature of LLS and have helped position it as one of America's top volunteer health agencies. The Leadership Award is presented to deserving individuals only when home office staff and past and present members of the National Board deem someone worthy of this exceptional recognition.

Ryan has been an active member of LLS, the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer, since 1993. He previously served as Vice-Chairman of LLS's National Audit Committee, sits on the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter's Board of Director, and has been a member of numerous LLS committees during his many years of involvement with the organization.

With more than 20 years of accounting experience, Ryan provides audit, tax and business consulting services to a wide range of clients, with a special emphasis in the hospitality and not-for-profit sectors. Ryan, who is a partner in the firm's Philadelphia office, uses his expertise in the not-for-profit sector to provide audit services to numerous Philadelphia-area charter schools. His hospitality industry expertise also finds him performing audit, tax and business consulting services for bars, restaurants, and food and beverage companies. In addition to working with LLS, Ryan has sat on several other nonprofits' boards of directors over the years. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Walnut Hill College's Restaurant School.
