Bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography and jewelry are among the original works of art that will be on display and for sale during Chicago's premier summer art affair July 8 - 10, 2011. The Chicago Tribune North Michigan Avenue Art Festival, now in its twentieth year, has been consistently voted one of the top 100 outdoor juried art festivals in the country by Sunshine Artist magazine.

This wildly popular three day event, one of the top art affairs in the country as well as in the city of Chicago, features more than 300 of the country's leading artists including the finest local talent. All artists are juried by an independent panel of expert judges and hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. Prices range from $25 hand designed earrings to $30,000 metal life size sculptures.

The Chicago Tribune North Michigan Avenue Art Festival attracts locals and tourists alike and appeals to people of all ages including families, art enthusiasts and collectors looking to add to their collections.

"This is an extremely popular show, among the top in the country and Chicago," says festival promoter Howard Alan. "Festival goers look forward to this show each year, they return to see their favorite artists and to explore the work of new and emerging talent, it's a great opportunity to meet and connect with the artist before making a purchase, which makes the investment much more meaningful and personal."
The artists will line North Michigan Avenue, opposite the Wrigley building, along the Chicago River in their professional white tented booths; they will be on site for the duration of the festival, available to discuss their art and inspiration.

A portion of the proceeds from the 20th Annual Chicago Tribune North Michigan Avenue Art Festival will benefit the Chicago Tribune Foundation.
