  • (1888PressRelease) April 28, 2011 - The Chamber Philharmonic Europe orchestra is visiting The George Bernard Shaw Theatre in Carlow on May 13th and will perform a thrilling programme consisting of masterpieces by A. Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, J.N. Hummel, E. Grieg and G. Fauré. Founded in Cologne (Germany), the Chamber Philharmonic Europe engages the most talented young musicians from across Europe.

    Its outstanding high artistic level was confirmed during the 2009-2010 season which saw them perform over 60 concerts worldwide. Many of these performances have taken place in reputed concert halls and opera houses, including Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens (Paris), De Munt Opera (Brussels), Koninklijk Theater Carré (Amsterdam) and Das Konzerthaus (Berlin).

    The concert also features award-winning soloists Pawel Zuzanski on violin and Kirill Gusarov on trumpet. Pawel was born in 1977 in Kielce, Poland. At the age of twelve, he debuted with The Kielce Philharmonic Orchestra performing a concerto by J.S. Bach. He studied at the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland and at the Academy for Music & Theatre in Hannover, Germany. In 2003 he established the 'Andrzej Panufnik Trio' with which he won Charles Hennen Chamber Music Competition. With the trio Pawel is a welcome guest at internationally renowned festivals such as 'Kalkalpen Musik Festival', 'Trondheim Chamber Music Festival' and has performed extensively throughout Europe. In 2005 the ensemble became a member of the European Chamber Music Academy and in 2006 it has been honoured with the "Märkischer Kreis" Award.

    Kirill Gusarov was born in Saint-Petersburg where he received his first trumpet lesson from the famous trumpet player Professor V.Margolin, in whose class he graduated from Saint-Peterburg Conservatoire with distinction in 2002. He then furthered his education at Coservatoire of Hanover and Essen. In his career Gusarov has been awarded at international competitions including International Competition Citta di Porcia, Dokshitzer Competition Vilnius,Competition of Calvia Mallorca und Tchaikovsky Conservatoire International Competition Moscow.
