  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) June 06, 2013 - Differentiation and communication strategies based on Simon Sinek's celebrated book "Start With Why" and his TED talk entitled "How Great Leaders Inspire Action", which has over 10,800,000 views at TED.com, will be the core point of discussion at the forthcoming The Brain Trust meeting of member CEOs in The City Club of Buckhead, Atlanta, on Thursday, June 13.

In his presentation, Simon says, "People don't buy what you do … they buy WHY you do it. The goal is not to sell to people who need what you have … the goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe and want what you represent. Then they will want to be part of what you do and will be loyal."

He goes on to say, as it relates to your employees, "The goal is not to hire people who need a job, the goal is to hire people who believe what you believe or want what you want. If you hire people who can just do a job, they will work for your money; but if you hire people who believe what you believe, they will give you their blood, sweat and tears."

The Brain Trust has taken Simon Sinek's input and created a new statement about the company:

"We exist to enable companies to dominate their industry through differentiating strategies and innovative thinking. We hold monthly, half day meetings of CEO's where we sit together and challenge each other to think differently about our respective companies. The Brain Trust is a group of CEO's who are committed to each other's outrageous level of success."

    About Simon Sinek
Described as "a visionary thinker with a rare intellect," Sinek teaches leaders and organizations how to inspire people. With a bold goal to help build a world in which the vast majority of people go home everyday feeling fulfilled by their work, Sinek is leading a movement to inspire people to do the things that inspire them.

A trained ethnographer and author of Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action, Sinek has held a life-long curiosity for why people and organizations do the things they do.

Fascinated by the leaders and companies that make the greatest impact in the world, those with the capacity to inspire, he has discovered some remarkable patterns of how they think, act and communicate. He has devoted his life to sharing his thinking in order to help other leaders and organizations inspire action.

He is best known for discovering the Golden Circle and popularizing the concept of Why, the purpose, cause or belief that drives every one of us. The Golden Circle is a naturally occurring pattern, grounded in the biology of human decision making, that explains why we are inspired by some people, leaders, messages and organizations over others.
