Pierre and Marietta Bain announced today that in honor of Bastille Day July 14th, they are sharing their family's favorite recipes for you to enjoy at home!

    Festival of Tomato Paella
    ˝ cup Olive Oil
    1 large Onion
    2 cloves Garlic chopped
    2 large Tomatoes, diced
    4 Bell Peppers (two red, two yellow) cut in strips
    2 cups White rice
    8 cups Chicken broth (homemade)
    3 tbsp Parsley, chopped
    2 large pinches Saffron threads
    3 baskets Cherry tomatoes, assorted sizes and colors

    In a skillet, heat olive oil and add onion, garlic, tomatoes and bell pepper strips. Sauté until limp. Add white rice and chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add the chopped parsley and the saffron threads and cook at a simmer until done (approximately 35 minutes).

    Add the 3 baskets of cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
    Season to taste with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Then serve.
