"When we made the decision to go completely digital in August of 2012, we knew we needed some very wise and experienced people to help us with the transition," said Therese Mageau, editorial director of 1105 Media Education Group, the publisher of Campus Technology. "We are so pleased and honored that such a respected group of higher education luminaries has agreed to provide us with guidance and feedback as we serve our readership through our electronic editions."

The new Campus Technology advisory board, which will serve a two-year term, consists of seven higher education leaders who represent a diverse group of institutions, including private and public four-year universities, a major community college system, and an online-only university:
-Link Alander, Vice Chancellor and Chief Information Officer, Lone Star College System, The Woodlands, TX
-Jill Albin-Hill, Chief Information Officer, Dominican University, River Forest, IL
-Keith Bailey, Assistant Dean for Online Learning and Education Technology, College of Arts and Architecture, Penn State University, University Park, PA

Campus Technology publishes monthly in online (browser) and iPadŽ format, and will soon be introducing a smartphone edition. All editions include text, video, audio, animation, embedded web sites, photo slideshows, live Internet links, and more. The advisory board will help create the publication's editorial calendar by assisting editors in identifying the most important issues and trends facing higher education IT. Board members will also offer insight into monthly magazine topics as well as provide recommendations of experts and institutions that serve as models of best practices for technology implementation in higher education.

"Our stories are only as good as the issues, institutions, and people we cover," said Campus Technology Executive Editor Andrew Barbour. "I am confident that our new board will help us identify and report on excellence in higher education technology, as well as assist us as we write about the challenges that institutions face in today's demanding world of campus IT."
