Kate Valentine who interviewed Mr. Hopkins May 12, 2010 (link to podcast) and Peter Robbins, one of Americas's best known UFO investigative writers, remembered "two very different men with one common passion . . .ufology"- Kate Valentine.

Referring to himself as a " serious student" Peter Robbins spoke highly of Len Springfield's published work describing him as "a pragmatist, a rationalist and very much a grounded real world investigator." He went on to describe his one and only encounter with Len Stringfield as "life changing."

Peter Robbins who was a friend and colleague of Budd Hopkins and instrumental in the start up of The Intruders Foundation, pointed out that Budd Hopkins was one of the finest late generation abstract painters to come out of New York City and was delighted The New York Times obituary addressed that. The obituary was given a respectful 2/3 of a page with 2 photos and "when they made reference to his UFO related work it was without mocking and surprisingly respectful.
