  • (1888PressRelease) December 31, 2010 - In a first for the British band, BRONZ will make their international TV debut on Internet show "Rew & Who," live from London on Monday, January 10, 2011. The quirky, raw internet show features "riZing starz & living legendz - OpRaH meets ReW YoRk CiTy…ANDY WaRHoL's 15 minutes of FaME' inTerviewz w/ LiVe performances & fun fun fun. Alwayz informative & alwayzzzz surprises!" This is the first time the program will originate from anywhere other than its New York City home base. Hostess Rew Starr - a singer/songwriter in her own right at the center of the downtown NYC music scene - will, as always, hold court, interviewing guests in her inimitable manner.

2010 has been quite the year for BRONZ. The surprise release of their album "Carried By The Storm" was met with overwhelmingly positive reviews and brought the band's remarkable story to light. In 1984 Bronz sold 200,000 copies of their debut album "Taken By The Storm," were performing at sold out 30,000 seat arenas, and recorded their sophomore release "Carried By The Storm," the first completely digitally recorded album in Europe, produced by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne's "Bark At The Moon"). The record was expected to catapult the band to superstardom.

As fate would have it, when the album was complete, the band's label went into receivership, thus putting an end to those plans. Founding member Shaun Kirkpatrick (lead guitar/backing vocals) eventually purchased the rights to the master recordings, but "Carried By The Storm" lay in the vaults collecting dust until, many years later, Shaun received shocking news from lead singer Ian Baker: bass player Lee Reddings had throat cancer and just six months to live. Shaun decided to "rebuild" the record as a gift for his former band mate. Lee was deeply moved and thus able to hear the only album he had ever recorded, shortly before he passed away.

Due to the unanimously positive feedback to the album, the remaining members of Bronz decided to reform and release "Carried By The Storm" in Europe in 2010, and the response has been nothing short of spectacular! The album has been reviewed as: "…a slice of AOR heaven." (Glitzine.com); "A corking album" (GTFM); "A lost classic rock album…on our A play list" Radio Caroline; "…a truly good band can't be kept back forever…leaves the listener wanting more" (Kittysneezes.com); "…perfect for fans of 1980s classic rock." (Oxfordshire Music Scene Magazine); and "You just need to listen to the album to realize how good it is." (Total Rock Radio).

With such an incredible response Bronz have already begun doing interviews, playing live acoustic radio performances (TRRadio) and dazzling audiences in concert (a CD release celebration in Oxford last month); a 2011 tour is in the works.
