  • (1888PressRelease) September 29, 2016 - BREMEN, Ga. - The award-winning artist B.J. Thomas will take the stage at Mill Town Music Hall on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 pm EST. Over the past four decades, Thomas has sold more than 70 million records, earned two Platinum records, 11 Gold records, five Grammys and two Dove Awards. The opening act is nationally acclaimed country performer Katie Deal. Mill Town Music Hall focuses on wholesome, family-friendly music and events and is located conveniently off I-20 in Bremen (1031 Alabama Avenue).

    While in high school, Thomas joined a local band. The band ended up becoming a success when they released a single that sold more than one million copies. After launching his solo career, Thomas produced multiple hits including "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," which won the Academy Award for best original song and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 1970. From 1977-1981, Thomas won five Grammy awards for Best Inspirational Performance for "Home Where I Belong," "Happy Man," "You Gave Me Love," and "Amazing Grace" and Best Gospel Performance for "You Gave Me Love." Adding to his success, Thomas recorded the Growing Pains TV theme song, "As Long As We Got Each Other." Eventually, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
