Bret Spaude confident heading into Road America

(1888PressRelease) June 22, 2011 - The Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series will be heading to Wisconsin this weekend for the seventh race of the season at the famed Road America, and P1 Groupe driver Bret Spaude is confident that all of the hard work his team has put in this season will be rewarded with a strong finish when all of the dust settles Friday night. This is the first time the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series will be running at Road America, and this will surely add to the drama already surrounding the tight points race. With no reference with regard to car set ups going into the weekend, the teams will all be on a level playing field to start things off. With the return of co-driver Andrew Aquilante this weekend as well, Spaude believes his team has a great shot at a win.

"Heading to Road America is very cool for the series." Spaude explained "It's not every year we get to add great tracks like this to the schedule. Being that none of us have been there, I am curious to see how all the different makes of cars will line up. The WRX STI should be up to the challenge at Road America. This track has a lot of tight turns and long straights. We have a pretty good advantage of most cars coming off the corners and I suspect we will be doing a lot of passing on the exits of those tight turns. Andrew will be back in the car this weekend, and him being hungry to drive is an added bonus!"

Leading in to Road America the #35 Subaru Road Racing Team is 19th in the Team Championship Points Standings in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series.
