  • Akron, OH (1888PressRelease) July 28, 2010 - The Booth Brothers, a singing trio from the South, will be making their way to Amish Door Village for two performances August 11-12. The family-originated group has been entertaining since 1990, earning a reputation for their humorous and touching concerts.

The original group-Ron Sr., Ronnie, and Michael-started as a father-son trio, until Ron Sr. retired in 1998. In search of a new member, Ronnie and Michael found Jim Brady to join the group in 2002 moments before a performance.

"We didn't even have a chance to really practice," said Ronnie laughingly. "We just met him at the event. We ran through a couple of things, and then we went on stage!"

Jim's addition to the group turned out to be a huge success. The Booth Brothers have since been awarded Trio of the Year, Male Group of the Year, Best Live Performer of the Year and Song of the Year. Some of their hit songs include "When He Saved Me," "The Half That's Never Been Told" and "Freedom."

Along with the entertainment, the Amish Door Restaurant provides a lavish home-cooked meal, including a fresh garden salad and their famous Amish Door pie.
