When I Grow Upů is a musical journey of self-discovery exploring the path from adolescence to young adulthood. This original one-act showcase features Team Broadway's wonderfully talented Charlotte area teens performing material from contemporary musical theater.

When I Grow Upů is directed by the award winning, professional directing team of Linda Booth and Lori Anne Sword of Teen City Stage and arranged by Musical Director Bill Congdon who was most recently Musical Director for the national and international tours of Billy Elliot. Team Broadway's young performers represent 14 schools from across the Charlotte region.

"We are very excited about this showcase featuring our Team Broadway talent", said Ralph Beck, Director of Education for Blumenthal Performing Arts. "We are so proud of our new musical theater skill development program and can't wait to show off the students' talent in December," he added.

Announced in August, Team Broadway has been rehearsing weekly at Blumenthal's Spirit Square and is culminating their work of the fall quarter in these two performances of a new original showcase of contemporary musical theater on December 4 and 5 at Blumenthal's Booth Playhouse.
