Brooklyn Style Foundation (BSF) was founded in 2004 as an incubator for Brooklyn's explosive creative talent. BSF's mission is to assist emerging, low-income designers in honing their talent and nurturing their entrepreneurial endeavors, to cultivate a vibrant fashion industry in Brooklyn, and to provide educational opportunities for Brooklyn's youth. BSF produces two Brooklyn Fashion Week{end}s per year to showcase up-and-coming talent, and regularly hosts other special events as well. BSF puts sewing supplies into the hands of those who need them through its Stitch for Success program, and is partnering with high schools to provide educational opportunities for Brooklyn's youth.
