  • Savannah, GA (1888PressRelease) January 12, 2012 - Rosemarie Stallworth-Clark, Professor Emerita for Georgia Southern University, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Rosemarie Stallworth-Clark's commitment to excellence in Higher Education.

    Stallworth-Clark, who holds a PhD from the University of Georgia, began her career in 1965 as a sixth grade teacher at Ensley Elementary School in Pensacola, Florida. After teaching various different grade levels over the next five years, she landed a position at Georgia Southern University in 1981 and taught there until retirement.

    After twenty-seven years teaching in a university setting, Stallworth-Clark retired as an associate professor-emerita in educational psychology for their College of Education Department. Although retired since 2008, she continues to facilitate the Peace Studies Faculty Learning Community and serves as a member of the Zach Henderson Library Advisory Board and collaborates with the University's largest annual conference, The National Youth-At-Risk Conference. She reviews and writes for professional organizations and journals and works with multiple organizations which are devoted to the progressive evolution of human consciousness for peace, unity and environmental sustainability.

    "My strongest inspiration dwells within me," Stallworth-Clark explained. "I am inspired by an inner desire to serve humanity for peace, nonviolence and a sustainable environment."

    With aspirations of following her heart and working for the welfare, health and advancement of women and children throughout the world, Stallworth-Clark is open to working with the United Nations, UNICEF or the UN Women. She also hopes to publish several books that will focus on those that long for peace, both personally and interpersonally.

    Stallworth-Clark received a Teaching Award from Georgia Southern University in 1997, received a Professional Development Award through the Center for Excellence in Teaching through Georgia Southern University in 2005, was named a Featured Faculty Member, also through the Center for Excellence in Teaching in 2007, and has been named to numerous Who's Who publications over the years. When Rosemarie isn't busy working she enjoys music, reading and swimming.
