Peters, a licensed welder since 2007, began learning the trade at age thirteen by working with his grandfather at his company, Ella Screw Products, in Houston, Texas.
Now running his own shop for the past year, Peters designs custom fastener products, including screws, nuts, bolts u-bolts, L-anchors and J-bolts. He provides quotes for customers, does set-ups and teardowns of manual lays, and also keeps the machines running as well, amongst a host of other responsibilities.
"I take pride in what I make," Peters said. "My grandfather taught me everything I know and I am now able to run any machine that is put in front of me."
Hoping to get into government or state contracting in the future, Peters enjoys keeping busy, working with new and existing customers and making sure their every need is met. He looks forward to many more years of hard work and is confident about the future of his business.
