Biltmore Who's Who Selects Nancy Marie Davis as an Honored Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

- San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 13, 2011 - Nancy Marie Davis, Career Center Director, Career Counselor and Development Professional for Grossmont College, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Nancy Marie Davis's commitment to excellence in Education.
Davis, who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from San Diego State University and an Master's in Business Administration from National University, and also holds graduate units and a certification in career development counseling, began working in her field twenty-five years ago in the California Community College system.
In her current role, Davis is responsible for encompassing quality career development counseling and planning, facilitating and interpreting career assessments, training and job search instruction and providing group career counseling. She does resume instruction, job interview advice and tips, provides outplacement for local businesses, coordinates career, adult reentry and student employment programs, conducts workshops and seminars, does public speaking and serves as the annual career fair chairman.
Inspired greatly by her two sons Scott and Jeremy to continue being motivated both professionally and personally, Davis strives to provide quality assistance to the variety of students that she comes in contact with everyday.
"The community college has an open door policy," Davis said, "so our population reflects the San Diego community, including disabled, parolees, immigrants, veterans and international students, to name a few."
With plans to continue her work in the community college system for four additional years, Davis hopes to continue her work as a career counselor part-time after retirement.
Davis is currently a master career counselor and development professional with the National Career Development Association. She also serves on the California State Chancellor's Committee for Career Development as a Region 10 Representative. Her staff and she publish a quarterly newsletter highlighting current career, labor market and job search issues which is distributed throughout San Diego. When Nancy isn't busy working, she enjoys cooking and jogging.
