Henderson, Adjunct Professor at Essex County College, has been selected as a VIP Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Margaret E. Henderson's commitment to excellence in Higher Education.

    Henderson, who holds a BS in Business Administration and Economics from Upsala College and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University, is a PhD Candidate in Criminal Justice with Walden University. She has been teaching at the university level for the past four years.

    Prior to teaching, Henderson spent over thirteen years with the New Jersey Department of Corrections as a program development specialist for offenders.

    "It is my passion to help those that cannot understand why they are incarcerated, and to help them return to society as viable and reliable, tax-paying citizens," Henderson said about her mission.

    Currently, Henderson presents a lecture series called "Art of Listening" regarding the prevention of recidivism to the MASCA-Middle Atlantic State Correctional Association in many parts of the United States. It is geared to law enforcement to help with stress and critical thinking.

    Henderson plans to continue teaching and presenting her lecture series, and hopes to soon host a TV program on PBS to educate the public on how offenders can be treated and pay their debts to society by becoming better citizens.

    A member of the Academy of Criminal Justice Science, Middle Atlantic State Correctional Association, Knights of Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary, and Newark Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women, Henderson has also won numerous awards, including the Martin Luther King Award through the American Correction Association program, numerous marketing awards from Moody's Investor Service, as well as awards from Northern State Prison Inmate Population and Administration.
