  • Oklahoma City, OK (1888PressRelease) November 02, 2011 - Lesa G. Shriver, Records Coordinator for the City of Oklahoma City MAPS Project Office, has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Lesa G. Shriver's commitment to excellence in the field of Government and Municipality.

Shriver, who studied journalism at the University of Oklahoma, began working part-time for the City of Oklahoma in the fall of 1989 selling tickets at the Myriad Convention Center and later in the Civic Center Music Hall box office before being promoted several times and obtaining her current position.

In her current role, Shriver writes most memos included on the MAPS for Kids Trust, MAPS 3 subcommittee and MAPS 3 Citizens Advisory Board agendas. She types up all architectural and construction contracts that must be approved, oversees the suburban schools grant program, reviews applications, processes payment vouchers, reviews completion forms and also keeps track of current balances in the accounts. She also serves as quality control, ensures all documents that leave the office are correct in content and format, assists the trust specialist and does special projects for the program manager as needed.

"I enjoyed typing and English classes when I attended Yukon High School and I knew I could do something great with those skills," Shriver said about her long career with the City. "My skills and willingness to learn aided in my promotions to higher positions."

Shriver also noted that her goal is to become a trust specialist for the City in the future.

A member of the South Yukon Church of Christ, Shriver has volunteered as a leader for the Girl Scouts of America for fifteen years and also supports several non-profit organizations, including March of Dimes and Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. When Lesa isn't busy working she enjoys playing golf, bowling and spending time with her one-month-old grandson.
