  • Columbus, OH (1888PressRelease) May 12, 2012 - Larrie D. Green, Sr., Owner/CEO of LDG Publishing , has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry.

    Larrie, who holds an AA Degree in Computer Programming from Belmont Technical College in St. Clairsville, Ohio, is currently working on BA Degrees in Business Management and Computer Information Systems at the University of Texas-El Paso before returning to Ohio and relocating his publishing business. He is also a graduate of Bellaire High School. He is the son of the late John K. Green, Jr. and Candace V. Green of Bellaire.

    Larrie has become an accomplished poet with national recognition through public performances in California, Texas, Nevada, and Washington DC. He has been presented with multiple awards, and has produced a total of three books, two of which are his own. He's taught creative writing, and poetic emphasis at the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade levels while in El Paso and also taught a gifted students program at Montwood High School in El Paso, Texas. He was also the winner of the 1st Inaugural Poetry Extravaganza in Ft. Worth, Texas. He teaches self-expression of the mind and heart through writing. Larrie writes under the penname of "Smoothe", and will be releasing his third book titled Smoothe Sessions sometime in the near future. His personal CD is up and coming as well.

    Having received more than 35 awards, Larrie has been published in various periodicals, such as Our Texas magazine, Dance They Did, and West Virginia Words, to name a few.

    The main goal of LDG Publishing is to promote a formal, public opportunity for self-expression to students. He wants to eventually go back to school to complete his degrees, pursue a BA Degree in Fine Writing, and promote his business. In the meantime, he will continue to work hard in his current undertakings, knowing that his future in these areas will be successful.

    Larrie is a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner in Columbus. His lodge memberships include Gloria #89, John C. Logan #53 Ohio Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, L.D. Easton Consistory #21, and Ali Baba Temple #53 Shrine. He currently volunteers at The First Tee of Columbus, whose programs benefit the Down's Syndrome Golf Academy of Central Ohio, and the All-Stars after school program.
