Moye, who earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida in 1978, followed by a JD from the University of Florida three years later, has been practicing construction law since 1981, beginning his career in Atlanta, Georgia.

After practicing for eight years, Moye became a managing partner with Hansell and Post, the oldest firm in Atlanta.
