  • San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) May 23, 2012 - Hillel Mazansky, MD, President and Chief Executive Officer of Guided Imagery and Nutrition, Inc., has been selected as an Honored Member of the Biltmore Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes Hillel Mazansky's commitment to excellence in Healthcare.

Mazansky, who earned an MD from the University of Pretoria in 1966, and later a Master's Degree in Family Medicine from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, began his career in 1969 in his hometown area of Johannesburg, South Africa, before moving to the US and working out of Cleveland, Ohio and now La Jolla, California.

Now specializing in guided imagery (visualization), medical hypnosis, nutrition, and exercise, Mazansky's true passion is in childhood obesity. Having practiced medicine for over forty-five years, he now works one-on-one with patients by empowering them to assist themselves in their own treatment of many chronic, physical and psychological issues, Mazansky uses guided imagery medical hypnosis, nutrition, and exercise. He also treats patients with cancer, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, post traumatic stress syndrome, grief therapy, preparing patients who undergo surgery and procedures, insomnia, and more, using holistic treatments.

Having suffered from metastatic cancer in 1985, Mazansky treats all types of cancer patients' illnesses, saying, "It was at that stage that my physician referred me for Guided Imagery. Through its regular practice I was empowered to assist in my own healing."

Mazansky's passion for the treatment of childhood obesity stems from a personal history of sexual molestation from a maid that resulted in compulsive eating. He now treats obesity, both of the childhood and adult varieties, using
    medical hypnosis and guided imagery.

With expectations of continuing to treat the sick and ailing and to decrease the incidence of childhood obesity, Mazansky is currently writing his first book on guided imagery and medical hypnosis, showing how these two modalities empower people in their own treatment of physical and psychological issues.

Mazansky is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in England, American Psychotherapy and Medical Hypnosis Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and is a listed member on Psychologytoday.com. He also writes weekly, international health tips informing individuals on up-to-date news and trends in nutrition, obesity, guided imagery, medical hypnosis, and exercise programs on his website.
