  • (1888PressRelease) October 02, 2010 - Big Boggle, the larger version of the classic Boggle game is making a comeback and will be available for purchase at http://www.BigBoggle.com. This year also marks the 127th year for Parker Brothers, the company behind the game.

The larger version of the classic childhood favorite is making a comeback. Big Boggle uses a 5x5 grid of letters instead of the traditional 4x4 in the original game. It also features a minimum word size of four (4) letters instead of three (3). The newly-launched BigBoggle.com website announced that it will have variations of the game including: Boggle Master, Boggle Deluxe, and Super Boggle-all of which are available for purchase on its website.

The Parker Brothers, creator of the Boggle and other varieties of the classic game will mark a significant milestone in the company's history this year. The makers of wildly popular games such as Monopoly, Risk, Trivial Pursuit, Ouija, and 1800 other board games will be celebrating its 127th year in the gaming industry. The company, now a subsidiary of Hasbro, was founded by George S. Parker in his hometown of Salem, Massachusetts in 1883. Parker Brothers remained a family-owned business, even after George Parker's death in 1952. Eventually, it was sold to Fortune 500 Company, General Mills, in 1963 and later bought by Hasbro in 1991.

BigBoggle.com, the site dedicated to all things Boggle, announced earlier this month that it has added new products on its website in addition to the more traditional ones, including Boggle and Big Boggle. It even has a How-to instructional video for playing Boggle. The site, http://www.BigBoggle.com, will also stock rare vintage Boggle games in addition to newer pieces before the end of the month.
