  • (1888PressRelease) April 09, 2011 - Clients who attended BID2WIN Software's annual User Conference in Las Vegas last month were the first to experience the company's new Logistics module-one of three modules within the expanded BUILD2WIN Integrated Construction Management Suite. Seamlessly integrated to BID2WIN Estimating & Bidding and BUILD2WIN Field and Maintenance modules, Logistics allows users to plan short and long-term project logistics and effectively dispatch employees, equipment and other resources to jobs.

Attendees were especially impressed by the Logistics Map, which allows users to understand geographic information, including the display of job sites, location of equipment and employees, as well as current weather and traffic conditions.

"Having real-time weather and traffic data is important," explained attendee Ammerson Barber of Navajo Engineering and Construction Authority. "Currently, I access weather websites and forward the information to our vendors to schedule deliveries, and to the project site manager to schedule concrete pours, etc. I look forward to using that feature within our company."

In addition to training dedicated to BUILD2WIN Logistics, User Conference 2011-which took place March 19-20 at Encore Las Vegas-featured several other changes based on feedback from previous years. Two new full-day workshops gave attendees the opportunity to participate in comprehensive training geared towards a specific skill set. And hands-on training sessions, comprised of over 200 PC workstations, allowed attendees to learn new features in BID2WIN 2011 and BUILD2WIN Field.

"It was a very well organized event, and the training was flexible enough that everyone could gain a lot from the sessions," said attendee Kyle Conaway of Sherwood Construction. "In addition, we couldn't have asked for better accommodations and social events. I look forward to next year's conference!"

With an even larger turnout than last year, the 2011 event allowed attendees to network with industry colleagues and build morale among their teammates, with exciting evening events and a golf tournament hosted at the Wynn's exclusive golf course. Photos and videos from the conference can be seen on BID2WIN Software's Facebook page.

"This was my first User Conference and I came away very impressed," said Cole Millare of GP Roadway Solutions. "BID2WIN Software is constantly evolving and I feel that the staff provides clients with a high level of support. BID2WIN Software is what its users make of it; clients' questions and needs are always heard and the software is proof of this."

The BID2WIN Software team received great user feedback during the event that will be used to enhance their products, and plan for User Conference 2012-the dates and location of which will be announced this summer.
