    beyondEDUCATION and Scratch DJ Academy have partnered to offer 2, week-long DJ Mixing Scratch Sessions this summer.

    beyondEDUCATION features a series of classes, school residencies, workshops, live performances, student productions and ensemble groups in the performing arts for students ages 2 1/2 months to 21 years old. This program was developed to revitalize bergenPAC's Arts Education and Community Outreach program and has reached more than 30,000 students annually since its inception.

    Scratch DJ Academy is a DJ and music production school headquartered in New York City with additional locations in Miami and Los Angeles. It was founded in 2002 by the late Jam Master Jay of Run-D.M.C., Reg E. Gaines (author of "Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk"), and Rob Principe (Current CEO). It offers DJ and music production courses of all levels where students can learn to mix, blend, scratch, and make beats. Classes have established DJ instructors and copyrighted curriculum. Current and past instructors include Grand Wizard Theodore, DJ Premier, and DJ Green Lantern.
