    Tapanes Llahues represents property owners, developers, corporate and institutional clients in federal, state, regional, county, and municipal forums on an array of growth management, land use, zoning, subdivision, site planning, permitting, code enforcement, environmental, historic preservation, archaeological, and aviation matters.

    She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of the Florida International University Honors College. During her studies, she clerked for the Honorable Scott J. Silverman in the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

    Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Latin Builders Association, on the Florida International University's President's Council, and as the Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Law Section's Liaison to the Florida International University's College of Law. Additionally, she is a member of the Dade County Bar Environmental and Land Use Committee and the Cuban American Bar Association.

    Marrero primarily represents clients with development approvals throughout South Florida. He further specializes in historic preservation reviews, code enforcement proceedings and building code appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Marrero practiced land use, government relations and municipal law at Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza Cole & Boniske, P.L., and has served as an Assistant City Attorney for the municipalities of Miami Lakes, Marathon and Islamorada. In that capacity, he sat with and advised several local planning agencies and zoning boards.

    Marrero graduated cum laude from the University of Miami and received his Juris Doctorate at the University of Miami School of Law. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Dade County Bar Association -- Young Lawyers Section and the Board of Directors of the University of Miami Law School Alumni Association. Additionally, he is a member of the Dade County Bar Environmental and Land Use Committee, the Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Law Section, the Florida Bar City County and Local Government Law Section, the Cuban American Bar Association and the University of Miami's Iron Arrow Honor Society.
