Votes were tallied and results were vetted by a panel of anonymous attorneys assembled by the magazine. Final list determination decisions were then made by the editorial staff of D Magazine.
Bowers' practice encompasses wide-ranging commercial litigation matters with an emphasis on construction and oil and gas-related disputes. He represents, among others, homeowner's associations, residential and commercial contractors, health care companies, oil and gas exploration companies, and mid-size to large business organizations in state, federal, and administrative matters. Bowers' experience includes litigation involving major construction projects, real estate disputes, landlord and tenant issues, insurance disputes, oil and gas contractual disputes, health care, and diverse business and contract cases. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law (J.D., 1987) and the University of Texas at Austin (B.J., 1983).
