Bala Cynwyd Library Expresses Appreciation to Citrin Cooperman Partner Stanley Goldis for Pro Bono Accounting Services

  • Philadelphia, PA-NJ (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2012 - The Bala Cynwyd Library in Bala Cynwyd, Pa., recently expressed its gratitude toward Stanley Goldis, CPA for donating his time and effort to successfully preparing the library's non-profit tax return. Goldis, a partner in Citrin Cooperman's Philadelphia office, has provided annual accounting services to the Southeastern Pennsylvania library since 1992. He has also served as the library's treasurer for the past decade.

    A Bala Cynwyd resident, Goldis has long shared his professional talents with community organizations. "I am fortunate to have a successful practice in a career that I enjoy," he said. "I have always felt that giving back to my community is both my duty and my privilege."

    With more than 40 years of accounting experience, Goldis provides tax, business consulting and financial negotiation services to Citrin Cooperman clients. He specializes in helping clients maximize the value of their agreements, including buy-sell transactions, partnership agreements and bank loans with third parties through valuation and negotiation services. Goldis' client roster spans a wide range of industries - among them legal, dental, medical and other professional services.

    Goldis additionally handles pro bono work in an advisory capacity for Chasdei Eliyahu, a nonprofit in Wynnewood, Pa., that accepts donations of furniture, clothing, kosher food, money and automobiles for members of the Greater Philadelphia community. He serves on the endowment committee for Torah Academy of Greater Philadelphia and on the board of directors for the Stern Hebrew High School in Philadelphia. He has been honored by the Ohr Shalom Synagogue in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel, for his efforts to establish a permanent facility there. An avid cyclist, Goldis has also participated in the Wheels of Love bicycle ride to benefit Alyn Hospital in Jerusalem.

    Goldis is a member of both the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and has earned his accounting degree from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
