  • Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) February 23, 2012 - Although it seats only seven passengers, many more crowded around to catch a glimpse of the all-new 2013 Infiniti JX at the 2012 Cincinnati Auto Expo.

Visitors gathered to see roughly 250 vehicles inside the Duke Energy Convention Center. The annual event was fully-booked, something that hadn't happened since four years ago.

The 2013 Infiniti JX was a standout among vehicles present. Its stylish exterior design beckoned prospective buyers and encouraged them to learn more.

Inside, expo goers discovered three rows of seats with a second row capable of easily sliding forward to allow access to the one behind it. Even with a child seat installed, simply moving the second row forward in a tilted position provided enough room to let someone slide through.

Also attracting attention were the Infiniti JX's safety and security features. The Backup Collision Intervention system can warn the driver about the impending danger of anything lurking near the rear bumper. It can even activate the brakes if required to prevent an accident.

With the JX, Infiniti has added Moving Object Detection to its panoramic Around View Monitor. Four cameras present a comprehensive perspective on the driver's display and keep a close eye on anything threatening or harmless in motion.

Other technological marvels on the JX include a Blind Spot Intervention system, the Infiniti Connection service with Google Calendar access and instant notifications and Safety Shield, which takes account of the relative position of the vehicle and actively attempts to prevent a catastrophe.

The 2013 Infiniti JX's three climate zones, two moonroofs and pair of headrest-mounted 7-inch screens ensure that everybody can ride comfortably while enjoying a fantastic view. It is also the first Infiniti vehicle to be equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission.

Even though it isn't a DeLorean, the Infiniti JX does feel like the car of the future. Because it won't be out for over a month, drivers will need roads and patience. To learn more about the 2013 Infiniti JX, log on to www.infinitiusa.com.
