  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) June 30, 2016 - Indican Pictures, Black Noise Industries, and Pseudobook Productions are pleased to announce award-winning independent comedy Detective Detective Detective will be screening at Comic-Con International 2016, which takes place July 21-24 in San Diego.

Detective Detective Detective stars Adam McCabe (Hell House), Henry Kaiser (In Your Dreams), and Matthew Clay (Note The Whale) as three estranged brothers playing detectives in a live action role-playing mystery game in the Alaskan wilderness. The brothers-as-detectives must investigate the mysterious disappearance of world-renowned author Adrian Belmont.

As the brothers are challenged by the game's puzzles, they are increasingly forced to rely on each other. Long-standing real world conflicts surface between them, and the brothers must rediscover their brotherhood to solve the mystery.

"I loved this idea of adult brothers having to play a game together after losing touch, and discovering a lost, almost sacred spirit of play. The role-playing mystery game gave us a hilarious lens through which to explore the drama at the heart of the film." - Justin Edwards, Director.

Detective Detective Detective won "Best Feature Film" at Gen Con 2015, "Best Comedic Feature" at the 2014 Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, and was the "Best Film Made In Alaska" at the Anchorage International Film Festival in 2014.

As an official selection for Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival, director Justin Edwards is thrilled to bring the film to a wider audience. "It's a huge honor for us. If there is such thing as a perfect audience for our film, Comic-Con is it."

Directed by Justin Edwards (Come Back To Me) and co-written with his brother Michael Edwards (Vaya A La Cumbre), Detective Detective Detective was shot on location against a majestic Alaskan backdrop and features an original soundtrack from composers Michael Edwards and Benji Robinson.

    Praise for Detective Detective Detective:
"Well played by a terrific ensemble cast." - The Independent Critic

"Detective Detective Detective is a really damn good film! An excellent idea. Period." - IndyRed

Detective Detective Detective screens at Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival on Saturday, July 23rd at 5:20PM at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina next to the Convention Center, on the north end (Hall A) of the building.
