  • (1888PressRelease) September 01, 2012 - Santa Ana, CA - AutoCrib, Inc. (www.autocrib.com) is adding yet another model to their most popular line of robotic carousel industrial vending machines, the RoboCrib MX. This new MX model delivers most of the features of the world's most versatile and flexible industrial vending machine family, while decreasing the machine's size and reducing the cost to serve smaller customers. The machine is also designed to serve medical, dental, veterinary, life sciences and other markets that require a smaller footprint in a full-featured solution.

"Our industrial distributors have been asking for this machine because they want to be able to serve smaller accounts and they want to be able to move smaller amounts of inventory closer to the point-of-use in the manufacturing plants they support. Our medical, dental, veterinary and life sciences customers are all space constrained. They want a RoboCrib but sometimes just don't have the space" said Steve Pixley, CEO of AutoCrib. "Our distributors are also looking for lower cost industrial vending solutions for their customers and the RoboCrib MX meets that need with a high quality full-feature machine.

"We believe this is a far superior solution because it does not drop the product like the candy bar machines and it requires little to no repackaging. AutoCrib already had the broadest line of industrial vending solutions on the market, and now they are offering their customers even more choice. They have an industrial vending solution to fit any situation. By using a mix of machines with their exceptional software, we can design completely customized solutions for our customers." said Jamie Gahwiler of DCT Industrial Supply in Decatur, Illinois. "This is a breakthrough solution for the life sciences market." said Anton Visser of Cubex, "The combination of size, features and price make this the perfect machine for the medical, vet, dental and biotech markets."

The MX holds up to 180 items and can dispense large, small and delicate items in less than 7 seconds. Inventory can be issued and returned, something you cannot do with a helix coil or "candy bar" style machine and there is no repackaging required. It can control access and track usage by employee, job title, department or other configurable criteria and like all RoboCribs will automatically reorder inventory. It also comes with over 200 standard reports. The cabinet measures 22"w x 14"d x 73"h. With configurable bins, the RoboCrib MX rapidly adapts to changing customer needs.

The RoboCrib MX 150 has been dubbed "The Red Tornado" because it is a horizontal carousel that spins a stack of trays to deliver items to users rather than dropping the items from a helix coil shelf. "The majority of customers need to manage the slow moving items as well as the fast moving items," said Bruce Weaver, VP of Sales for AutoCrib. "It is the slow movers that cause the stock-outs and shut-downs. They also account for most of what will become dead inventory. If you don't manage the slower moving inventory as part of a total solution, you haven't offered any solution at all."

These machines are simple to configure and fast to deploy, yet they have most of the features of our larger RoboCrib's… which have been our most popular machines because of their incredible flexibility and their ability to immediately save 20% to 40% on their indirect materials costs. "This machine will be even more popular overseas," said Weaver, "because there are a larger number of small manufacturers."

All RoboCribs now ship with AutoCrib.net or AutoCrib 6.1 software. Version 6.1 is a major new release of AutoCrib's client server software. In addition to a complete redesign of the user interface, there are a number of new structural and feature enhancements, including a new ribbon style control.

AutoCrib [www.autocrib.com] delivers the world's broadest line of automated inventory vending systems (software and machines) for manufacturing companies, airlines, military, retailers, distributors and others who want to provide 24/7 unmanned access to inventory while maintaining complete access control and 100% inventory accuracy. AutoCrib software provides real-time information on all inventory in the system from any computer, tablet or smartphone anywhere on the planet.

AutoCrib has been providing industrial vending solutions since 1995 and has deployed over 15,000 systems worldwide. AutoCrib manufactures the patented RoboCrib line of robotic carousel systems, AutoLockers, The EleVend, the world's only glove vending machine that doesn't require repackaging, as well as automated cabinets, RFID tag-based vending solutions, handheld scanners, and traditional helix coil vending machines. No other company provides such a variety of point-of-use dispensing technology.

AutoCrib systems are driven by AutoCrib's powerful software, which provides end-users with real time usage data and in many cases, updates their ERP systems. This allows manufacturers to dramatically reduce inventory costs by as much as 50% or more through increased accountability and tighter access control.
