  • (1888PressRelease) March 14, 2013 - Carousel Industries, a leader in managed services, mobility, unified communications and visual communications, announced it will be demonstrating the full range of its unified communications solutions at the upcoming Enterprise Connect between March 18 and 21 at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida. Carousel will feature ongoing presentations covering a variety of topics related to unified communications, including virtualization, video and cloud access and managed services.

The following is a brief description of each demonstration area, each of which will feature the latest solutions from Carousel and its manufacturing partners:

    Station 1: Virtualization Pod
In the quickly evolving world of unified communications, most enterprise networks are not supported by any single manufacturer.  Instead, they are relying on best-in-class technologies from several vendors to ensure they are getting the features and functionality necessary to optimally run their businesses. Carousel will demonstrate how it has successfully integrated its manufacturing partners' technologies to create unique solutions for enterprises. This station will explore how Carousel has integrated Microsoft Lync with Polycom HDX and RMX, built multi-vendor video calling solutions that integrate Polycom RealPresence, Scopia Mobile/Desktop, Flare Experience and Radvision VMR, is capable of running Avaya VDJ Communicator in VMware View, and runs Avaya Flare on both the Apple iPad and in Windows.

    Station 2: Video Pod
More businesses turn to the cloud every day for their technology needs, and the trend is expected to grow over the next few years. At this station, Carousel will demonstrate Polycom's Cloud Access and discuss how the cloud can help businesses leverage existing technology investments while extending capabilities to private or public clouds to communicate securely both internally and externally.

    Station 3: Managed Services
Carousel's SmartPoint Managed Service provides businesses with a powerful intelligent platform, as well access to industry technical experts and services for intelligent IT planning and operational support, to increase the level of service end-users need to work in a fast-paced environment. This station explains how customers must focus on their core competencies while relying on tried-and-true technology solutions to build a competitive advantage. Carousel's SmartPoint Managed Service enables businesses to offload chores such as proactive monitoring, patch management, service desk, incident management, carrier management, triage and troubleshooting, configuration management, custom reporting and capacity planning.

    Station 4: Data Pod
Virtualization has added more complexity to network environments, but it has also solved IT problems to give businesses more flexibility in how they manage their IT infrastructure. At Station 4, Carousel and Extreme Networks will demo ExtremeOS Network Virtualization (XNV), a vendor-agnostic virtualized environment. Extreme will demonstrate its centralized network-based virtual machine (VM) inventory for VMware, Microsoft and Citrix VMs, as well as its centralized network-based configuration and distributed network-based enforcement of virtual port profiles (VPP). Stop by to technology experts perform a live migration of virtual machines on both virtualization platforms.
