  • (1888PressRelease) October 06, 2010 - Citroën strives to meet the demands of its customers, who expect tailor-made solutions, and decided that Arkamys' high-tech solution was the best option currently available on the market.

Arkamys' technology improves acoustic performance inside the car whilst also guaranteeing the ability to customise listening variables. With sound spatialization, users can position the 'sound stage' to face the driver (or all passengers), in order to ensure listening comfort. The sound that is produced offers better tone fidelity, more powerful bass and a better dispersion of sound throughout the interior.

The acoustic improvement system uses digital sound processing, and corrects any imperfections caused by the physical limitations of the speakers and constraints deriving from the configuration of the vehicle's interior. In doing this, Arkamys' solution restores clarity and fullness of sound, and ensures that the driver (together with every passenger in the vehicle) enjoys the same surround sound.

Arkamys has combined this acoustic improvement system with the intervention of a sound engineer that fine-tunes the settings in order to get the ultimate listening experience. The engineer, nicknamed Golden Ear, combines technical know-how with his (or her) perceptive skills, in order to guarantee the best possible production of sound. As a result, music and voice are harmoniously balanced inside the vehicle.

The technology developed by Arkamys offers the possibility of travelling within a peaceful, stress-free atmosphere, whatever the driving conditions.
